A video montage featuring MotoGP title candidates Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, as the young Spaniard attempts to wrestle away the Italian’s World Championship crown, has won an award at the 2009 Georges Bertellotti Golden Podiums ceremony in the ‘Best Slow Motion Sequence – Cut/Edited Shot’ category.
The video, entitled ‘A closer look at the title fight’, was judged to be the best in the category by the jury for the Golden Podiums and the award was presented to MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna at a gala ceremony attended by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco on Tuesday evening.
Created in 1991 by Georges Bertellotti, the Golden Podiums is an international competition which each year highlights the best TV sports images and slow-motion sequences, with the ceremony taking place as part of Sportel Monaco, the International Sports Convention for Television & New Media.
